How to prepare for your Boudoir Photoshoot Session

Visualize the clothing, sexy heels, accessories and props you will want to wear for your shoot. Create a new Pinterest board to discover ways to pair colors, fabrics, and styles for easy runway glamour. Try on all outfits before your session to make sure they fit properly!

 Lingerie

 I always ask everyone to bring a black thong, one white and one black (which ones and which colors is up to you) of regular (boy shorts / cheek) panties.  If you have a partner that you want to create an image for bring their favorite shirt!

 Body suits are amazing… they hide details that most of us want to hide and look fabulous!

 Pick out lingerie that highlights your lovely curves, but please remember sometimes a tight T-shirt, soft sweater or over-sized button-down shirt can be even sexier. Let your own personality shine through.

 To get a “Victoria Secret Look” I recommend a matching bra & panty set, lacey bodysuit, garter belt, stockings and stilettos.

 To get the “Girl Next Door Look” try a white sheer tee, off shoulder sweater, lacey panty, tank tops, jean shorts and cowboy boots/vans.

 If you want a “Sophisticated Look “I recommend a white button-down shirt, lacey panty, matching bra, cocktail dress, pencil skirt, stockings and high heels.

 Bridal Boudoir clients, please bring a white bra & panty set, veil, shoes, garter and jewelry you will have on your wedding day.

“Less is More unless it has Meaning!” Accessories should be something that is special to you or represents your personality, such as, jewelry, pearls, men’s tie, hat, mask and glasses.

Shop your closet for the items you instinctively select when you want to feel (and look) your very best. Let your imagination roam!

Skin / Hair / Make-up

 I recommend scheduling professional hair and makeup appointments for earlier in the day. A fresh blow out and a professional makeup application goes A LONG way when being photographed! You want to feel your best, and this is definitely a time to treat yourself! If you need recommendations for a stylist, I know great ones, or you can add this onto your package and have an all-in-one deal!

 Get a manicure & pedicure a day or two before your shoot. Pick a color that will go Ill with all your outfits or go with a French tip or neutral color. Shaving, wax, or trim any unwanted hair before your shoot. Wax, trim, or thread your eyebrows.

 I love spray tans, If you have never sprayed tan before I would recommend trying it out to test the results at minimum three weeks prior to your shoot. Make sure to protect your hands, feet, elbows and knees during the spray tan! If you are wanting a “Pin-up” look soft pale skin looks the best!
